Maxwell Gillott are a niche practice specialising in education and community care. We have run a successful telephone advice service in education law funded by the Legal Services Commission since 2004 and that has been expanded and extended in recently. We are looking for additional advisors to deal with problems on behalf of clients, both on initial calls and with follow up casework. Advisors are fully involved and responsible for all aspects of the case, seeing them through to conclusion. Casework varies from helping parents challenge local authority decisions (particularly for children with special needs) through tribunal and court as well as court actions on behalf of students and disability discrimination in education.
Our clients come from all over the country as we have a national reputation.
No direct knowledge of these areas of law is needed as full training and supervision will be given. However you must have an interest in developing new areas of expertise, particularly in the field of public law, and a desire to help clients with real and serious problems in their daily lives. LPC graduates preferred to start June – August
