Alert for all parents of children with a statement

If you child is due to start at a new school in September because of his or her age, then you should have received an amended statement giving details of the new school by 15th February. If you have not received your new statement, you should contact us as soon as possible so that we can make sure that the local authority meets its obligations. Long delays can seriously affect your chances of getting the place you want if you are unhappy with the school allocated by the local authority. This also applies if your child is in a special school, but other children in mainstream schools in your area would normally be changing school this year.
